एक तापीर की थूथन
थूथन (snout) किसी जानवर के मूँह का आगे निकला हुआ हिस्सा होता है। यह अक्सर कुछ हद तक नोकीला होता है, मसलन घोड़ा, कुत्ता, भेड़िया, चींटीख़ोर, इत्यादि के उभरे हुए नोकीले-से थूथन होते हैं। आमतौर पर किसी थूथन-वाले प्राणी की श्वास लेने वाली नासिकाएँ थूथन के अंत में होती हैं।[१]
