मार्कण्डेय प्रवासी मैथिली भाषा के विख्यात साहित्यकार हैं। इनके द्वारा रचित एक महाकाव्य अगस्त्यायिनी के लिये उन्हें सन् 1981 में साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।[१]
