This template is used to categorize deletion debates. By using a parameter, an appropriate category is inserted. These categories help sort active deletion debates by type. When the debate is closed, this template should be removed (as the name hopefully indicates).

साँचा:tlx is the syntax to use. Substitute "X" for one of the following letters. Do not include the cat= part, as that is for use within साँचा:tl. साँचा:AfD categories Anything other than the above choices (not including "U" or "?") will produce a notice indicating that the debate has not been categorized, and place it in Category:AfD debates (Not yet sorted).

This template is automatically inserted by साँचा:tl (with the parameter cat). It uses a #switch statement to work (see ParserFunctions).
