धरन एक जाट वंश (गोत्र) है। [१] [२] [३] [४] [५] 'धारीवाल', 'धालीवाल' 'धारंग' इसका एक हिस्सा है। समय बीतने के साथ ये अपभ्रंश हो गए। गुप्त वंश इसी धरन जाट वंश (गोत्र) के थे। [६] [७] [८] [९]
